Who keeps our stories alive when institutions don't? What does it mean to care for memory, and can acts of preservation themselves be understood as curatorial practice?

This Curatorial Fieldnote brings together artists and cultural practitioners whose work centres care as a form of curation. Through conversation, storytelling and collective reflection, the evening explores how family histories, community knowledge and everyday cultural practices are preserved beyond formal institutions. From front rooms and churches to neighbourhoods and local gathering spaces, the conversation considers how ordinary acts of keeping become extraordinary acts of cultural stewardship, shaping what is remembered, protected and passed on to future generations
